A Note from the President

For more than 5 generations my family has resided in the greater Knightdale community. My daughter is a 2014 graduate of Knightdale High School and my son is a senior at the school.  Our daughter was a 4 year varsity women’s soccer player. Our son has played 3 years of varsity men’s soccer.

From 1927 until 1965, and then again from 2004 until present, Knightdale High School has been a vital part of the fabric that is the greater Knightdale community. Dr. Argent, our principal, has challenged all of us as parents, students and alumni of KHS, “to change the narrative” about the school. Those of us who make our lives here know that this a special place in which to live. We also know that Knightdale High School has exemplary academic and athletic programs. Consider 7 State Championships in indoor and outdoor track during the past 6 years and also 15 Greater Neuse Conference Championships since 2004. You also have to recognize that in general more than 220 of Knightdale’s approximately 300 student athletes typically earn Greater Neuse Academic All-Conference awards on a yearly basis.

For the first time ever, Knightdale has had printed and published its own Fall Sports Program and extended to separate Winter and Spring Programs. I am extremely excited about the unbelievable support the local business community has shown by purchasing ads in the program and also by securing partnerships with KHS through booster club sponsorships. Please make sure that you tell the owners of these businesses that support KHS Athletics, “thank you!” Please support them by making sure when you need their products or services that you also do business with them.

The Knights’ Club seeks your support as a member. The contributions made by our membership and our corporate partners are vital to effectively funding a top-flight 4A classification high school athletics program. From keeping the grass lush and green on the football and practices fields, to funding transportation through our buses, to uniforms and catastrophic insurance…. The Knights’ Club provides financial support to all 23 of our athletic teams. Our current big projects are refurbishing the Stadium scoreboard and building a brand new, State of the Art weight room.  If you are a business owner, please consider being a corporate partner of the Knights’ Club. Or, if you enjoy athletics… Join the Knights’ Club! In both cases, you are making a positive impact on the community in which we live through Knightdale High School.

We look forward to another outstanding year of academic and athletic excellence in 2016-2017. The Knights’ Club thanks you for your support. We’ll see you at the field!

Go Knights!
